Account Executive/Telesales Executive (Sales Representative)

This job description may be modified in consultation with the post holder to reflect the changing needs of the business.

​

JOB PURPOSE

To maximize the effectiveness of sales and marketing by generating high-quality leads and working toward agreed-upon targets and profit goals. To provide excellent sales support by responding to all queries in an efficient, professional, and timely manner.

 

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify opportunities, generate leads, and schedule appointments for the sales force, with a focus on high-quality leads.

  • Modifies the content of sales presentations to develop creative pitches and propositions for specific industry sectors.

  • Proactively follow up on leads generated by managers' canvassing.

  • Use initiative to identify and follow up on opportunities with companies that are not already on the database.

  • Maintain the database to ensure targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new business.

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to meet sales targets;

  • Attend monthly meetings with the manager to update information and discuss any issues that may have arisen.

  • Effectively communicate with other departments within the company to ensure that customer requirements are met.

  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.

  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.

  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.

  • Recommends changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

  • Contributes to team effort by implementing best practice ideas and accomplishing related results as needed.

Includes the likes of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Ministry of Education & Youth, and Health Foundation of Jamaica. The company is small but growing, employees are expected to work as a team and support one another. Employees also may therefore be asked, from time to time, to undertake other duties by the Manager/Director within their range of skills and abilities.

SALARY STRUCTURE

 

COMMISSION BASED SALARY

The Account Executive (Sales Representative) will not be paid a salary or hourly wage, but instead, will be paid a percentage of the total closing sales of each month. The Account Executives will work on commission based only and earn 10% of income when sales are complete.

PHONE:

  • Monthly phone credit

  • Monthly social media data

 

DOs:

  • Use the phone for business-related purposes only.

  • Keep the phone clean and in good working condition.

  • Report any damage or malfunction immediately.

  • Use the phone responsibly and in accordance with the company's code of conduct.

  • Be mindful of usage costs and avoid excessive data usage or long-distance calls.

 

DON'Ts:

  • Use the phone for illegal activities.

  • Install unauthorized software or applications on the phone.

  • Share confidential company information or data through the phone.

  • Use the phone to harass or discriminate against others.

  • Sell or transfer ownership of the phone to another individual.

 

For any reason, the phone is misplaced/stolen due to the assigned personnel's diligence and without a reasonable explanation the assigned personnel will be responsible for the replacement of the phone.
